Marble
Formed under intense pressure and heat, and quarried all over the world, marble is a metamorphic rock, and a form of limestone that is composed mainly of calcium carbonate. Marble is instantly recognisable with its endless variety of colour patterns, veining and swirls, making each piece unique in itself. It can be polished to a very high finish and can be found in black, white, grey, green, pink and several other shades. Like all natural stone, marble should be sealed to give added stain resistance. As it is acid-sensitive, it should be cleaned with a neutral ph or slightly alkaline cleaner. Marble tiles add luxury, style and quality to any room.
